How did you decide on Season 3 for the Avatar Series 1? And why isn’t Katara in her Season 3 appearance to match Aang and Zuko?

DSTChuck: We just wanted to start with Iconic looks we thought would have the broadest appeal. There was no plan to strictly stick to a season-building mentality.

Joe O.
Just want to say I’m sure long time fan of your work and collector of your Star Trek line. I’m just wondering, ahead the imminent release of “Star Trek: Picard” can fans look forward to seeing a version of Jean Luc, as he appears in that show, added to the Star Trek Select line? Also would it be your intention to add the double jointed elbows seen on the Westworld figures to any future Trek characters you might release?

DSTChuck: We do not have the rights to make product from either of the CBS streaming shows. Our articulation is always evolving; cost and aesthetics play a big part. I don’t think we’re able to make any commitment to a consistent version to all lines.

I am wondering why the Recognizer vehicle builder pieces were cancelled from the Tron select figures at the last moment. Was really looking forward to building this. Also since you have done a red Infiltrator variant of Flynn how about a yellow CLU version? Will there be a Yori, RAM and Warrior figures as well?

DSTChuck: It was not our intention for that to come out at the last minute, there was an internal communication issue with getting that news out. Sadly, after showing the Recognizer at Toy Fair and to fans, when the sales came in for the line they were MUCH lower than we expected and even less than had been projected to us. So, we had to make a call to cancel the line or cut the cost. For sure, it was not an easy decision, since we had spent so much time and money on its development. But sales were much lower than Ghostbusters. We’d love to bring it back or do other versions or new figures, but we’ll have to see. Our inventory has not been flying, so…

I was wondering if there are any plans to make the Luke Skywalker in Battle Poncho and the Anakin Skywalker jumbo figures?

DSTChuck: We have had some issues getting the jumbo line restarted, but for sure we want to continue it and are working in that direction, in fact, we have a new sculpt done, but we’re not ready to commit at this time to what will be in the line going forward.

Brett B.
Hi there! I noticed that my order for the Sonic the Hedgehog Green Hill Zone dioramas were canceled/indefinitely delayed across a few merchants. Was that line canceled in its entirety?

DSTChuck: For now, it is delayed, and we are looking at ways to re-work them or find new ways to market them so we can get them to market somehow.

Matthew S.
Hi. Would you consider releasing either a Red Guardian or a Taskmaster figure for Marvel Select in conjunction with the Black Widow film? I’m excited to see them in the movie. I think either one would be great to have with the Black Widow figure that was released with Age of Ultron.

DSTChuck: We do have a Taskmaster figure planned for the movie, but at this time that is the only one.

Matthew B.
Now that DST has acquired Gentle Giant, are Star Wars Minimates a possibility?

DSTChuck: We have been told no, but we’ll keep asking.

John L.
I see Buffy the Vampire Slayer Vinimates are on the way. Can we expect Buffy the Vampire Slayer Minimates as well?

DSTChuck: Not at this time, but never say never.

Tim N.
Will there be any new Batman 66 busts in 2020?

DSTChuck: Sorry to say there are no new bust planned for this line.

Jaime M.
Will you guys be making Gallery PVC statues for the Marvel Disney+ Series like F&WS, WandaVision, & Loki?

DSTChuck: We would like to and plan to make a wide range of products from the Disney + shows, we’ll just have to see how we are able to get refrence and see what the demand will be.

Brandon C.
Is there any more marvel villains coming in the premier or gallery formats? I’m always looking for villains and figure this would be the best way to find out!

DSTChuck: We have no aversion to doing villains, so yes more are coming. We showed Taskmaster at NY Toy Fair!

Louis C.
I am such a huge fan of the select figures, I was wondering if you had the license to make James Bond select figures?

DSTChuck: We are huge fans of Bond as well, and we have talked about it, but for several reasons we have never been able to work something out.

Maddie T.
Since DST is tackling the nightmare before Christmas (and they’re doing amazing with it!) is there a possibility of them tackling Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride? The figures/dolls are nearly impossible to get and I’m sure DST would make beautiful figures/dolls of the characters.

DSTChuck: Sadly, Corpse Bride is not handled by the same studio as NBX.

John L.
DST is offering some pretty cool product based on “It: Chapter 2” and “Westworld.“ Any chance we’ll see Minimates offered for these franchises?

DSTChuck: Sorry, no plans at this time, but never say never.

Joe D.
The DC PVC Dioramas are awesome. I especially like the Flash ones, would you consider making versions of the John Wesley Shipp Flash, comic versions of Jay Garrick, Wally West (current costume) or maybe even a Flash of Two Worlds diorama?

DSTChuck: We would love to do more from the CW shows, we’ll just have to see how demand is and what the feedback from sales and fans is.

Marco I.
Will Diamond Select make a Marvel Gallery Avengers End Game Thor? Really hoping it’ll be based on the Final Battle look

DSTChuck: It is not planned at this time, but it’s possible we could in the future. The MCU movies have a very strong following.

Joshua J.
I was wondering if you guys might ever be able to make a Nintendo series or a Dragon ball Minimate series

DSTChuck: Sadly, neither of those licenses are available to us at this time.

Marcus M.
Is there a reason the Bruce Lee Minimates were cancelled? They looked amazing. Is there a way for them to be released in the future?

DSTChuck: While the sales have been solid for the Gallery and action figures, they were not there for MM.

Dennis L.
Hi, I’m wondering if we’ll ever see the remainder of the series 4 Muppets figures? Really would like to have the opportunity to finish up the set and, with divine intervention a few more figures.

DSTChuck: Plans are in the works.

Shane H.
I’ve absolutely loved the Ghostbusters Select line. Are there any more figures planned at this stage?

DSTChuck: Due to Hasbro working on a line for the new movie, we have had to put our line on hold. We’ll have to see what the future holds.

Cameron W.
Will there ever be any Plants Vs Zombies Battle for Neighborville figures?

DSTChuck: Unfortunately, we no longer have the rights to make toys for PvZ.
